Eight thousand commits since the last post
My last post on Instagram was two years and six months ago. Nothing since. I was not being mysterious about it. I was busy putting things back in order, and there was nothing I wanted to say while that was still in progress.
I have never been someone who posts after every line of code. Narrating the work is not the work, and a feed rewards the narration far more than it rewards the thing being narrated. Given the choice between looking busy and being finished, I would rather be quiet for a while.
Somewhere around eight thousand commits later, here we are. The product exists, it is in production, and now there is something to point at rather than something to describe.
So I will write again. Here first, and probably on LinkedIn too. Not daily updates from inside the build. When something is actually done, or when I learn something that cost me enough to be worth passing on.
